What a wonderful time of year this is! We, here at The Journey, are blessed to be able to reflect on the last several months and see the marvelous hand of God in our lives and on this ministry.

As we wrap up this calendar year we are already excited about 2019, but for now, we are slowing things down to a brief time of...

It was another long bicoastal airplane ride, this time to help my daughter relocate; a joyful yet taxing time combined with the stress of traveling. Usually when I travel, if anything can go wrong it does. So I make my lists and check them twice: leave at least 2 hours in advance, check in online, and print out my boar...

In this world of go-getter boss babes you might think that we are all independent, self-made women.

As women after God’s heart, our story should be different.

Have you ever heard of a lone ranger Christian?

Me either.

And there’s a reason for that.

All throughout the Bible, particularly in the New Testament we find discip...

The other day I was talking with a friend, and he asked me a question that left me at a loss for words. “What have you done with that project?”

For a moment I stood there awkwardly, knowing that I had no answer for him. He was asking about a project that I’d started working on a few years back. What I had done with it s...

What happens when women walk in faith? I wish I could tell you from my experiences. I wish I could tell you about all the times I prayed without doubting and God answered my prayers. But you see, I’m not Ruth, I’m Jonah.

In my head I know that God is capable of doing wonderful, miraculous things. I have seen Him do it....

There’s something about September that I love.

It’s probably the combination of a new school year, the end of summer and the beginning of new routines as we head into cooler temperatures.

I find that this time of year is a great time to rekindle my goals and get back on track with some healthy habits and routines.

But I’v...

“Lift your hands in praise!”

I lifted my hands.

“Shout Hallelujah.”

Well, I didn’t shout, but I said it loudly enough I think.

“Come on and lift your voices!”

I love to sing, so this one is a sure win. I got this!

Sunday morning worship is beautiful, wonderful even, and if you do what others are doing, and follow directions...

December 28, 2017

September 29. It was supposed to be the end of a season for me; the end of ten years of going through the same thing. Instead, what should have ended on that day took a slight turn and started afresh. And I struggled with it. I sulked. I pouted. I grumbled at God and asked Him why He had to go and change my plans.

What are some of your favourite Christmas pastimes?

Is it the food? Goodness knows in the Caribbean we love to cook up a storm during the Christmas season. Not to mention all the Christmas treats – the fruit cakes, tarts, and so on. Mmm, mmm, good!

Maybe you love the family time. It’s such a special time when you have fa...

Every time I fly, and that's been pretty often lately, I think to myself, "We could like, fall out of the sky!" Now, let me be clear, on this particular day, there is nothing to suggest that any of us felt threatened. A lady to my left spreads a copy of this morning's newspaper over her belly and begins reading. The el...

Who Are We

The Journey is the collaborative effort of Caribbean Christian women who speak and write about faith, spirituality and issues of life and abundant living.

We are motivated to draw women into deeper relationships with God and we are eager to see women connect, inspire and empower each other in the Spirit of love and unity.

Our prayer is that women will become passionate about living free and honest lives through God’s power, mercy and grace.
